Progress Update – Time to Send out ARCs!

This week has been hectic, and more than a little stressful since Tuesday. I added two new chapters this week which set me back a bit. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to finish the beta edit for today – since I said I’d send out ARCs today I really wanted to get it done – but once again I have slaved away over the edit and I got it done! I’m so glad it’s Friday, because this…

so tired

… is me right now.

I copied all feedback notes into their own document and colour-coded everything, so I knew what needed changing, what was positive, and so on, and ended up with just under 30 pages to sort through.

30.

30!!

But as I said I finished it this morning, which means that I’ll be sending out ARCs in a bit, and the professional, final edit will begin on Monday.

all the feels 2

Right now I’m nervous, excited, scared, tired and all kinds of emotions which don’t go together.

My beta readers have been fantastic, and it’s been an interesting experience for me. I’m putting together a post on everything the process has taught me, good and bad, so watch out for that either next week or the week after 🙂

I also started writing my new book, Immortals, this week! Of course I didn’t get very far, all I’ve decided is that Immortals is a temporary title until I find one I like, and that Dena has a handgun called Echo. No excerpt yet since this edit kept me so busy and I want to give you more than one line, but I’ll have something next week 😉

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got ARCs to send!

oh god

Please like my baby. You don’t have to love it, I won’t be greedy, but please like it.

Look forward to exciting news next week. There will be an excerpt, and possibly a cover reveal 😉

A good weekend to you all!

      • No, that’s all right, thank you 🙂 My betas have already found plenty, so there shouldn’t be much left for my editor to find 🙂 Unless there are so many it’s off-putting!
