Productive Procrastination with Pinterest

Pinterest is my favourite form of procrastination. Not only can it be inspiring, but it allows me to do some visual research, too! And any form of procrastination that makes me want to work isn’t really procrastination… right? Today I thought I’d share some of the pins I’ve saved with you πŸ™‚ I’ve got a different board for each book I’m writing, and you’re very welcome to check them out here.

Since I only want to tease you without spoiling anything I’ll tell you which board the pins are from, but not how they relate exactly – feel free to interpret them however you wish πŸ˜‰ Happy procrastinating! ^-^

  1. I only started using Pinterest last week so I very, very late to the party but have to admit it’s become a bit of an addiction πŸ™‚ Love the images in you’ve picked

    • I manage not to use mine every day, but once I’m on there it’s hard to stop πŸ™‚

  2. I totally use Pinterest for inspiration. I, too, have boards for my books πŸ™‚

    • I’ll have to look into how to use it more for book promotion and marketing, I know I’m not using it to its full potential! I love the quotes you’ve posted from your books <3

      • Thank you. I don’t use it to its full advantage, it’s more a side thought. There’s so many platforms to manage, I just can’t do them all.

      • I completely understand, to always be caught up everywhere I’d need superpowers! I was wondering about dropping my facebook account since I use that one the least.

    • I’ve added you but I haven’t had a moment to be nosy yet ^^ I’ve only used it to pin other people’s post and haven’t posted anything myself yet, but I’m looking to change that quite soon πŸ™‚

  3. Pinterest is a drug and I’m proud to say I’m completely addicted! I love it for writing. You never know when you’re going to stumble across a quote or picture that will spark the imagination. Pin-crastination is the best!!

    • It’s not a bad addiction if it’s useful, right? πŸ˜› We do need to do out research…

  4. I rarely ever use Pinterest. I’m afraid if I start, I’ll get sucked in. I do on occasion poke around though. I haven’t used it for novel research yet, but maybe some day.

    • It is useful for novel research, but I understand not wanting to get sucked in. There are so many social media sites around now that not joining one or more almost feels rebellious!

  5. I don’t use Pinterest nearly as much as I should. And now I feel like I should, especially after seeing these inspirations! My gosh They’re such amazing images and my brain’s whirling now, trying to imagine how they tie in πŸ™‚ The ones for Immortals are especially mesmerizing and whimsical!
    Happy Pin-crastinating πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you! I loved searching for fitting Immortals (temp. title) pins, there are such beautiful images out there! <3
Having said that, I'm not using it that much. I manage to only use it every now and again, but when I do I tend to stay for a while πŸ™‚
      Happy pin-crastinating! ^-^

  6. Pinterest I have used in the past and find it quite inspiring. I have also used google a whole lot too and can easily get lost. A fantastic post!

    • Thank you! I’ve tried doing my visual research with google but it always throws too many unrelated things into the mix πŸ˜›
