Happy September, friends and familiars!
I have something huge to tell you, but I can’t talk about it until October*… Not publicly anyway-subscribers to my mailing lists Bookish with Sarina and the CookieBreak Writer’s Retreat will hear about it next week 😉
Sorry if that seems mean. I just can’t talk about it here yet. My mailing lists are safe, and by sharing it there I can kick a few things off.
*It’s not a publishing deal and I’m not pregnant.
So, what can I talk about?
Relics of Ar’Zac
I’m beyond relieved to say that Blood of the Dragon is with my critique partners. THANK THE ALMIGHTY KITTENS that someone else is fretting over it! And thank them for critique partners too!!
Blood of the Dragon is harder than the other two books were because it’s the final book in this trilogy. Everything needs to come together, I can’t leave any loose ends.
I’m not sure if I’ve succeeded, but I can say that the last three chapters are emotional af because I know you like crying. You’re welcome.
From next week, I’ll get to work on Blood Song and Blood Vow. As I mentioned last week in my August update, I’ve outlined both and just* need to write them now.
I’m hoping to wrap them up by the end of October. Once that’s done, I’ll start tearing into Shadow in Ar’Sanciond.
OH, speaking of which, there’s a cover reveal coming your way this month! My designer set Monday (as in, the one three days from now) as the deadline, so it can’t be long!
And speaking of which, the covers for the Blood Wisp trilogy are booked for October, so there are yet more pretties coming your way 🙂
Sometimes I wonder if I overdo it.
* *rocks in a corner*
The changes are coming along really well. I’m sorry if it’s a bit of a construction site right now. It’ll all be back to normal soon, I promise.
In fact, two out of four pages are done and will go live later today or early next week.
By the end of September, CookieBreak should be its new and improved self!
If you can’t find anything in the meantime, let me know.
What are your plans for September? Make a tea, open some biscuits, and tell me all about it <3
